A small fleet of 6 today, but all enthusiastic I am sure.
Welcome to Matt Bugg, who sailed with us today. Matt had joined with us some years ago and returned since to 2.4m sailing, winning national titles in the class. We are fortunate to have him sailing with us, and I do hope that he likes the DF95's and decides to join with us soon. Twelve races completed today, with two groups develping very close compettion within each other. Battle for the round win was close between Ray and Stu, with Stu coming out as deserved round winner - not finishing below a second place all day. Fantastic, consistent sailing. Stu winning with just 14 points. Just four behind, was Ray, with 18 points. Another very consistent day, with throwouts of only 5 and 3 for the day. The battle for third was very tight, with two points separating 3rd and 5th, Rod Jackman took the third spot, with 36 points. In Silver Fleet, albeit a bit light on with numbers this week - John Short came away with the win on the day with 15 points, just one point ahead of John Hall, on 16. Coming Up Stay ChatTY Regatta is on this coming Wednesday. Briefing at 1030 for button press at 1100, with last race starting by 2.15. Entry for the day is by donation - proceeds will be going to Stay ChatTY. RBRYC will be providing a BBQ lunch to competitors. We have prizes for 1st Overall, 1st Woodie/Classic and 1st Silver Fleet/Guest. Please get along if you can to help support a very worthy cause. Next weekend is the rescheduled RM State Championship at Montrose. Unfortunately, we only have four entries at the moment. If you are considering entering, please enter on the website as soon as possible. If we do not have enough (6) entries by Thursday night, we may have to cancel the championship for this year and will in its place on Sunday, run a RM Scratch day instead. Kyle
