PIt seemed like winter at the dam today. A blustery Westerly greeted us when we arrived and I am sure that the temperature didn’t get anywhere near the forecast 18 degrees. Still that did not deter sixteen skippers from starting.
The opening race saw a mix of A and B rigs but as the morning proceeded skippers gradually decided that B was the way to go and changed suit. After lunch everyone was B-rigged. Andrew Wardrop kindly offered to be the PRO for the day and did a great job setting courses for the challenging Westerly conditions. When conditions are demanding it is usually our best skippers that come out on top and no-one handled the conditions better today than Jammy Jones who was a clear winner. Chris Wood was 5 points behind and Lisa Blackwood third another point away. Congratulations Jammy, Chris and Lisa.
