IOM Mid Week Handicap

Overall it was a very enjoyable day with plenty of banter and humour 👍😂

15 skippers fronted up to little or no breeze, 0-1 knot from N - NW It was warm then became wet upto midday before the breeze completely vanished.

We managed 4 small course races before lunch hoping that a breeze may appear.

After lunch it swung around from the SW -SE (very shifty) & we managed Longer courses for the afternoon session Unfortunately weed was an issue for a few skippers.

Henry Finnis sailed #67 (RBRYC Loan boat) to a race win R6, thank you to the skippers that helped tune the boat for Henry.

We also welcomed Dicko #70 from up north with his AKA, who started off with a second in R1, and line honours R3.

Congrats to Ricky Price, who won the day today on 21 points, closely followed by Ray Joyce, just one point behind on 22, and Phil Jackman in third on 27 points.

COMING UP:
Saturday and Sunday - Tasmanian IOM State Championship at Montrose. Button press both days 1030 - remember, you boat will be weighed prior to hitting the water and can all payments either be made electronically prior to Saturday, or cash payments prior to briefing. Please don't wait t be asked for payment, but chase Les down to give it to him, which will save quite an amount of time.

We do ahve a few observers for the weekend, but if you could spare a little bit of time on either day, please feel free to come down to watch and/or act as observer for us.
