Phil Turnbull Well, what can you say. The 17 knot winds that were predicted all day didn't come in until about 2.30 today.
We got 3 races in prior to lunch and had a very long break, waiting for the wind to come in. Welcome back to Les, who has just returned from Qld and straight back into Pro work for us. Les was ably assisted by John Hall (terrific work with setting courses today John), Phil Turnbull and Phil Jackman. Great to see sme other club members coming along to watch as well. With the wind coming up at the end of the day, we got some great heavier weather sailing in, with one skipper going to his C Rig for the last race. Michael Hickman is the runaway leader at this stage, sitting comfortably in first place on just 11 points. There is a two way tie for 2nd and 3rd, with Richard Fisher and Stuart Dawes both on 20 points - and another two way tie for 4th and 5th with Chris Wood and Ray Joyce battling that one out. In Silver Fleet, we have Ricky Price currently in first place on 9 points, and a 3 way tie for second, with Rod Marshall, Ian Hey and Ted Stevens all on 14 points. Sailing resumes tomorrow for the conclusion of the Championship. Kyle
