Today started with a solid SW breeze - went a bit light for half an hour & then came in as a solid sea breeze in mid to top A rig providing the best conditions for some weeks for sailing. A fleet of 14 boats fronted for some intense & very enjoyable racing. The handicap series run by Dave was a mixture of scratch, handicap & long distance races. After about 6 races a green boat ( s/n 28 Trojan 2 managed to edge out another green boat s/n 29 Noux ). John Banks with s/n 29 had his boat going particularly fast & sailed very well particularly in the 2 long distance races, unfortunately a collision with a bank of feral weeds whilst leading up wind in the first LD race cost him overall bragging rights. The silver Fox was very quick all day so he can probably cancel his order for a V9.
