Thanks to our Property Officer Rod all was arranged for a team to replace the narrow section of the launching ramp today. Rod designed the steel supporting structure, had it manufactured and also arrived with the decking timber pre-cut and all fixing bolts. The morning was chilly with one of the best northerly breezes blowing seen on the brook for quite a while. Andrew constantly updated us on the building breeze to fine B rig conditions. So the team took it out on the narrow section and it was demolished directly. David's bolt cutter made short work of the old fixings. The new steel section was bolted on and the new planks went on in a production line fashion. All great team work. All that has to be done now is to paint the centreline with ON and OFF arrows to direct clockwise movement for skippers launching and recovery pathway route. Thanks to the work bee team skipper Rod, with able crew, David, Andrew, Les and Ray.
