We were greeted at the dam with no discernable breeze. Eventually a small wiff of breeze was detected and we started a scratch race
Because of the very light breeze it was decided to do scratch races as the light breeze would not make things fair. Eventually a light sea breeze came in and 10 races was completed. Thanks to Kim & Andrew for there PRO work. It was good to see in the results that every skipper gained at least one podium finish during the day. Stu Dawes had a great day out, comfortably winning the day on 14 points. Wayne Behrens also sailed extremely well, taking second place on 22 points. Mat Gray was close behind in third, on 24 points. This weekend is the DF95 George Fish Memorial State Championship, sailing both Saturday and Sunday at the Dam. Please get entries in if you wish to sail on the weekend. I have got word back from the Risdon Dam Park Run people, and they will be clear of the dam by 10am, so we will be starting a bit late on Saturday - with access alowed tot he dam from 10am. The first button press will be half an hour late at 11am to allow people to arrive and get set up. Sunday will be the normal start time per the NoR.
