The event concluding our two weeks of continuous sailing has been completed, with many exhausted skippers and organisers now having a very well earned break. The last event was the DF95 Championship held in honor of George Fish, a long time dinghy and RC sailor, who sadly passed away last year.
18 competitors lined up over the two days, who were greeted with light wind conditions throughout - with very pleasant sailing conditions for the last half of the last day. Results attached below. Congratulations mush go to Peter Darcey, who sailed consistently throughout the event, and was a deserved inaugural winner of the George Fish DF95 State Championship. Lisa Blackwood also sailed extremely well, to miss out by just two points across the 18 race series. Third place went to the reinvigorated Ray Joyce, who showed massive improvement in sailing from his experiences in the ARYA Nationals. Well done to all the organisers, as well as the many, many helpers across the two days. It was a very long journey through the Nationals, and to go those extra two days for this event was a testament to your devotion to a well run event. https://mysailingresults.com/results_embed.asp?eventid=270 Photos to come shortly.....

Before anything else, I want to congratulate all winners at DF95 championship especially to Peter Darcey who emerged as the top winner of this year's competition. I know that most of those who joined prepared so much for this event. But just like in any contest, only one winner will emerge as the winner. Based on how you have written this article, the second and third placers almost defeated Peter. But at the end of the day, it's still going to be the best person who will bag the award. It's Peter Darcey's day so you guys should give it to him!
