It was very pleasing to get back to some sailing today after a couple of weeks of very poor weather. Twelve skippers were greeted by a top of A rig northerly breeze that held in during the early scratch racing and then began to fade as morning progressed, nevertheless we enjoyed some excellent and close racing with the handicapper working hard to even out the results.
Good to see Wayne Behrens back sailing with some rusty tactics and also good to see Scott Rappl sailing with his IOM which usually sails at Lauderdale on Sundays. He put in some sound performances. By the end of the handicap series Kim Potter had outsmarted the handicapper & his opponents to (again) claim the bottle of wine. A very pleasant mornings sailing.

You can say that the 12 skippers did all their best just to achieve the place where they are right now. I know that it's quite hard to reach top five, but all of the skippers exerted effort just to make it there. By the way, I am also happy to see that Wayne Behrens is finally back and he showed us his upgraded style and tactics that brought him to the top! It wasn't really a surprise to me because we all know what he is capable of in the first place. Good thing that he finally decided to make a comeback.
