After quite a few weeks of little wind on a Wednesday today we were gifted a lovely Northerly of about 8 knots which maintained itself consistently throughout the day. Perfect A-rig conditions! Thirteen skippers is a good turn-out for this time of the year and allowed us to get back to formal handicap racing.
Race honours were well shared around with most skippers finding the podium at some time and race winners were from across the handicap spectrum. The day went to Lisa however by virtue of her consistency – nothing worse than 5th after discards were taken. Ray showed similar consistency to take second place. And a great effort by Martin to take third spot with results including two race wins and two third places. His improved boat speed was quite noticeable today. Congratulations to all! Next Wednesday it will be handicap racing for DF95’s at the Dam – button at 11:00 Sunday’s scratch racing will be for RM's at Montrose – button press at 10am John S
