Sundays racing was moved to MBYC as we held the club's AGM directly afterwards & also because of weed problems at the dam but it seems the weed decided to follow us to Montrose. The morning was bitterly cold with threatening rain if not snow & a generally northerly A rig breeze which was constantly changing direction. We set a course off the beach in front of the clubhouse so almost immediately the wind swung to the North & then NE frustrating our efforts to get a reasonable windward beat. As usual the cream quickly came to the top with Michael (04) winning the first race & then the silver fox (05) winning the next 2 races. The breeze continued to move around so after lunch we moved the course into the bay & encountered heavy weed.
In the end not a very satisfactory day so thanks to those who made the effort & to Dave for huddling in his chair as PRO.
Michael won the day from Peter Darcey & Ray Joyce
