Yesterdays RM regatta was held at Montrose, the first time the Marblehead fleet has sailed at this venue. Yachts had to be wet launched by a few intrepid wet suit clad skippers (thanks). The racing started at 10.30 in a top of A rig northerly breeze with half the fleet opting for B rig. John Hall won the first race from a fast finishing Peter Sylvester who after the first race was plagued by winch problems which caused his early retirement. Michael won the next 2 races & then started a string of 5 wins in a row for Ray & John also started to put some good reults together. The breeze lightened off as the day went on & in all 10 races were completed. Congratulations to Ray for a clear win with John in second & Michael third. Thanks to David Murfet for PRO & Stuart Harris for his rescue dinghy efforts. Next Sunday is scratch IOM at 10 am & the AGM at 2 pm - both at Montrose Andrew ![]()
