What a day today. Pretty sure it hit 20C during the day for the six skippers at MBYC.
A slow start with very light winds gave us only two races before the pin was pulled for a BBQ lunch (thanks Lisa for organising the sausages). After an extended lunch and chat about world events etc, the breeze started to come in for us, which strengthened to a beautiful sea breeze by the time we finished the 12 races. A fantastic hit out for the four skippers who are heading to the Nationals in three weeks time. Lisa was dominant today with the Blister, a comfotable winner on 13 points. Ted and his Sweet 9 romped home in second place, on just 18 points. He had the yacht going very well today. Thanks again Ted for coming down from Launceston to sail with us. Rod Marshall sailed some extremely good races, and would have been much closer to Ted overall, if it wasn't for some work that needed to be done on the yacht mid way through the afternoon. He finished very stongly on the day. Thanks everyone for coming out today and having a really good long sail today. I am sure everyone enjoyed both the sailing and the company.
