Hi Andrew,
Can you forward to all members please. What a beautiful day at the dam yesterday, warm to hot light winds and mostly good company. Pity the wind wasn't as good. All over the place or across the dam. Any way members were sailing. 19 boats on the water with our new member Dennis Barry still getting used to sailing a RC yacht instead of pulling in a trout from one of the many lakes in Tasmania. Like most of us he will be sailing well soon. Scratch racing, what a day it turned out to be. David had a bad day or Lyn spiked his coffee before he left home, not sure which one. Kyle shocked every one with his performance even himself. With 2 wins and 2 seconds from 8 races he won the day with 20 points one clear of Ray on 21 points. Chris Wood on 26 points was third. Then came Peter Sylvester 28 points, David 29 points and Rod Marshall on 47 points. In the handicap racing 3 points separated the first 4 boats cut with wins in the last 2 races Stuart Harris stole the glory and won with 23 points 2 clear of Phil Turnbull on 21 points. Then came Geoff Mathews ( only one red boat on the course this week) Wayne Behrens on 20 points. Andrew Wardrop who sailed 1 race in scratch the sailed the handicap series was next on 16 points. Then followed Peter Germein with 12 points, Tony Brewer sailing Dennis Lees boat 11 points, Dennis Lees sailing Tony Brewers boat and Don Mcloud 9 points, Wayne Turner 8 points and Geoff Rainbow sailing an IOm for the first time with 2 points. Both Dennis Barry and John Cole Cook didn't sail the full day. John Banks
